Make It Edmonton, the city’s most exciting independent fashion and art extravaganza returns for its’ 6th show at the Alberta Aviation Museum this weekend (May 13-15). Over 100 of the city’s hottest indie artisans and designers will be sharing their creativity in fashion, accessories, art, jewelry, decor and more!
Make It! is about celebrating creativity, having fun and supporting amazing Canadian talent. The vibe at the show is funky, hip and urban… very different from your traditional granny craft show. It’s the largest independent retail show of its kind in Western Canada with biannual shows in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary, operated by a brother/sister team, Jenna and Chandler Herbut, who as designers, are devoted to creating positive opportunities for local artists and designers.
Make It Edmonton runs this weekend (Friday, May 13 to Sunday, May 15), and tickets are $5 at the door. See you at the show!



2011 Artists for Life: Edmonton is a fundraiser produced by JTMF West to benefit HIV Edmonton and will be held May 7, 2011 at the Catalyst Theatre. The event will celebrate the work of Edmonton film-maker, Trevor Anderson, whose work has screened at many international film festivals, including Sundance, Berlin, Toronto, SXSW, Outfest and AFI Fest. There will be performances between Anderson’s films by three of Edmonton’s up-and-coming musicians including Simon-Marc de Freitas, 100 Mile House, and David Shepherd. It’ll be a great night of entertainment in support of an amazing cause,
